Cottage near Windemere

A cottage on a gentle Muskoka shore. Unusual for Muskoka, this cottage is sited in a wide sandy cove near Windemere. There is a partial second floor but the overall impression of height is reduced by keeping the eaves low and tucking the second floor into the roof. There is a generous main room which, in addition to generous windows near the floor, is lit by dormer windows above. This was designed by James Ireland for Stark Ireland Architects Inc.
